* Lernfahrt für die LinA- und Ana-Prüfung
Liebe Teilnehmende der linearen Algebra und Analysis,
um euch optimal auf die Klausuren im Sommer vorzubereiten, fahren wir mit euch
vom Freitag 19.07. bis Sonntag 21.07.
auf die Lernfahrt. Vor Ort habt ihr bei einer guten Lernatmosphäre die Möglichkeit, euch zusammen vorzubereiten. Außerdem werdet ihr von Tutor*innen und mit bereitgestellten Materialien unterstützt. Die Anmeldezettel könnt ihr im Moodle der beiden Veranstaltungen finden. Das Wochenende inklusive Vollverpflegung kostet euch 60€. Solltet ihr Schwierigkeiten mit der Finanzierung haben, gebt uns einfach Bescheid, dann finden wir eine Lösung! Wir freuen uns auf eure Teilnahme!
An alle älteren Studierenden: Wir suchen auch noch Tutor*innen für die Lernfahrt! Wenn ihr Lust habt, zu unterstützen, meldet euch gerne bei uns!
* Lerntage für Lehramtsstudierende
Hallo liebe Lehramtler:innen,
nach den erfolgreichen Lerntagen im Wintersemester organisieren wir auch im Sommersemester wieder Lerntage für euch! Das Ziel ist, euch bei der Vorbereitung auf die Klausuren in den Modulen „Mathe 2“, „Mathe 4“, „Grundkonzepte der Arithmetik“ und „Grundkonzepte der diskreten Mathematik und des stochastischen Denkens“ möglichst gut zu unterstützen. Ihr könnt euch dort mit euren Lerngruppen treffen, mit anderen Studierenden zu Lerngruppen vernetzen oder einfach alleine lernen. Außerdem werden freiwillige Tutor:innen, die in höheren Semestern studieren, anwesend sein und euch unterstützen. Da beim letzten Mal die Planung etwas kurzfristig war, gibt es die Termine diesmal extra schon sehr früh, also save the dates:
Für Studierende des Lehramts an Grundschulen/ Sonderpädagogik Grundschule („Grundkonzepte der Arithmetik“ und „Grundkonzepte der diskreten Mathematik und des stochastischen Denkens“):
Mo, 15.7., 8-20 Uhr im Geomatikum 241
Für Studierende des Lehramts für die Sekundarstufe / Sonderpädagogik Sekundarstufe / Berufsschulen („Mathe 2“ und „Mathe 4“):
Sa, 27.07., Mo, 29.07., Di, 30.07 jeweils 8-20 Uhr,
in der Sedanstraße (genaue Raumaufteilung folgt).

* Drucker für alle Mathematikstudierenden
Es gibt endlich wieder einen Drucker für Mathematikstudierende im Geomatikum. Dieser befindet sich im Computerraum (Geo 144) und steht allen Studierenden der Mathematik zur Verfügung. Hier könnt ihr pro Monat 30 Seiten in Schwarzweiß und 5 Seiten in Farbe kostenlos drucken. Das Referat für Soziales (AStA) sucht nicht genutzte, funktionierende Smartphones!
Da das Semester-Deutschlandticket nur noch digital verfügbar ist und die Versuche des AStA, mit dem HVV eine Regelung für Studierende ohne ein geeignetes Endgerät zu finden, nicht erfolgsversprechend sind, sollen alte Handys neu aufgesetzt und verteilt werden, damit alle das digitale Ticket nutzen können. CHE Hochschulranking
Ein paar von euch haben einen Link zum CHE Hochschulranking erhalten. Hier habt ihr bis zum 31.07. die Möglichkeit, euer Mathematikstudium an der UHH zu bewerten und damit nachfolgenden Generationen an Mathematikstudierenden die Entscheidung zwischen verschiedenen Hochschulen zu erleichtern. Je mehr sich beteiligen, desto aussagekräftiger wird das Ranking. Also, bitte beteiligt euch, falls ihr den Link bekommen habt.
DFM
Liebe Fußballfanatiker*innen,
die Deutsche Fußballmeisterschaft der Mathematik (DFM) steht wieder an. Diese findet dieses Jahr
vom 14. bis zum 16. Juni in Vechta
statt. Es sind keine nennenswerten fußballerischen Fähigkeiten vonnöten, lediglich der Spaß an einem feuchtfröhlichen Wochenende mit gelegentlicher sportlicher Betätigung. Der Teilnahmebeitrag beträgt 37€. Falls ihr Interesse habt, meldet euch bis zum 25.04., um Genaueres zu klären. Gut Kick und bis dann!
Fahrradtour
Am
Samstag, den 04.05. um 12 Uhr vor dem Geomatikum
und am
Samstag, den 06.07. um 12 Uhr vor dem Geomatikum
treffen wir uns wieder für Fahrradtouren ins Hamburger Umland. Der Plan ist gemeinsam in einem gemütlichen(!) Tempo eine spontan demokratisch gewählte Tour zu fahren. Im letzten Sommer haben wir uns zwischen Touren nach und um Glückstadt, Stade oder durch die Lüneburger Heide entschieden. Andere Vorschläge sind aber auch sehr willkommen. Kommt gern zahlreich und bringt Freunde mit! Wir freuen uns auf euch :)
Tipp: Wer kein Fahrrad hat, kann sich für den Tag ein Stadtrad für 9€ ausleihen (oder vor Ort von einer Person, die sich dort schon registriert hat, ausleihen lassen).
Schachabend
Liebe Schachbegeisterte (und solche, die es vielleicht werden wollen),
wir laden ein zu einem gemütlichen Schachabend am
Donnerstag, den 16.05. ab 18 Uhr im 241.
Kommt gerne vorbei, auch wenn ihr Schachanfänger seid! So können sich dann möglichst viele auf verschiedenen Niveaus gegeneinander messen oder auch einfach nur ein paar entspannte Ründchen spielen.
Karaokeabend
Am
Dienstag, den 28. Mai ab 18:30 Uhr im H4
veranstalten wir wieder einen Karaokeabend! Egal, ob Klassiker, geheime Lieblinge oder was auch immer, ihr seid herzlich eingeladen, mit uns zu singen.
Wandern
Am
Samstag, den 08.06. um 12 Uhr an der S-Bahn Station Kornweg
treffen wir uns, um dann über den Teetzpark Wanderweg nahe Ohlsdorf wandern zu gehen. Geht mit uns gemeinsam auf eine mehrstündige Entdeckungsreise entlang der Alster durch die schöne Natur!
Denkt an evtl. warme Kleidung und wetterfeste Schuhe.
Spieleabend
Am
Mittwoch, den 19.06. 17 Uhr im 241
findet wieder ein Spieleabend statt! Neben Doppelkopf und Tichu seid ihr herzlich eingeladen, auch euch bisher unbekannte Spiele wie Codenames oder Exploding Kittens mit Kommiliton*innen auszuprobieren!

in order to prepare you optimally for the exams in the summer, we will be taking you
from Friday 19.07. to Sunday 21.07.
on a study trip. On site, you will have the opportunity to study together in a good learning atmosphere. You will also be supported by tutors and provided with materials. You can find the registration forms in the corresponding Moodle courses. The weekend including full board costs €60. If you have any difficulties with funding, just let us know and we'll find a solution! We look forward to your participation!

* Study days for teachering students
Hello teachering students!
after the successful learning days in the winter semester, we are organizing learning days for you again in the summer semester! The aim is to help you prepare for the exams in the modules 'Mathe 2', 'Mathe 4', 'Grundkonzepte der Arithmetik' and 'Grundkonzepte der diskreten Mathematik und des stochastischen Denkens' as well as possible. You can meet up with your study groups there, network with other students to form study groups or simply study on your own. Volunteer tutors who are studying in higher semesters will also be present to support you. As the planning was a little more last-minute last time, this time the dates are available very early, so save the dates:
For students studying for 'Grundkonzepte der Arithmetik' or 'Grundkonzepte der diskreten Mathematik und des stochastischen Denkens':

* Printer for math students
There is finally a printer for mathematics students in the Geomatikum again. It is located in the computer room (Geo144) and is available to all mathematics students. Here you can print 30 pages in black and white and 5 pages in color per month free of charge. SozRef (AStA) is looking for unused, functioning smartphones!
As the Semester-Deutschlandticket is only available digitally and the AStA's attempts with the HVV to find a solution for students without a suitable device are not promising, old cell phones are to be refurbished and distributed so that everyone can use the digital ticket. CHE University Ranking
Some of you have received a link to the CHE University Ranking. Here you have the opportunity to rate your mathematics studies at UHH until July 31 and thus make it easier for future generations of mathematics students to decide between different universities. The more people take part, the more meaningful the ranking will be. So, please take part if you have received the link.
DFM
Dear soccer fans,
The German Mathematics Football Championship (DFM) is coming up again. This year it will take place
from June 14 to 16 in Vechta.
You don't need any soccer skills to speak of, just the fun of a fun weekend with occasional sporting activities. The participation fee is 37€. If you are interested, please contact us by 25.04. to clarify the details. Good kick and see you then!
Bike tour
On
Saturday, 04.05. at 12 noon in front of the Geomatikum
and
Saturday, 06.07. at 12 noon in front of the Geomatikum
we will meet again for bike tours into the Hamburg countryside. The plan is to ride together at a pleasant(!) pace on a spontaneously democratically chosen tour. Last summer we decided between tours to and around Glückstadt, Stade or through the Lüneburg Heide.But other suggestions are also very welcome. Come in large numbers and bring friends! We look forward to seeing you :)
Tip: If you don't have a bike, you can borrow a city bike for the day for €9 (or have someone who has already registered there lend you one on site).
Chess evening
Dear chess enthusiasts (and those who might want to become one),
we invite you to a chess evening on
Thursday, 16.05. from 6 pm in the 241.
Come along, even if you are a chess beginner! This way, as many people as possible can compete against each other at different levels, or simply play a few relaxed rounds.
Karaoke evening
On
Tuesday, May 28th from 18:30 at H4
we are organizing a karaoke evening again! Whether classics, secret favorites or whatever, you are warmly invited to sing with us.
Hiking
On
Saturday, 08.06. at 12 noon at the S-Bahn station Kornweg
we will meet to hike along the Teetzpark hiking trail near Ohlsdorf. Join us on a multi-hour journey of discovery along the Alster through the beautiful countryside!
Remember to bring warm clothing and weatherproof shoes.
Games evening

there will be another game night! In addition to Doppelkopf and Tichu, you are warmly invited to try out previously unknown games such as Codenames or Exploding Kittens with fellow students!

Kakapo are very large for parrots, male kakapos can grow up to 60 cm.
