Vollversammlung
Am
Montag, 23.10. um 12 Uhr
(im Anschluss an die Ersti-Vorlesung "Lineare Algebra") im T30
findet unsere Vollversammlung statt. Dort berichtet der FSR von seiner Arbeit im vergangenen Semester und es wird der neue FSR für das Wintersemester gewählt. Kommt sehr gerne vorbei! Ihr findet den T30 im Technikergeschoss: Das Geschoss zwischen EG und 1. OG, leider nur per Treppe erreichbar.
"Mathe-im-Beruf"-Vorträge
Wenn ihr noch keine konkreten Vorstellungen davon habt, welchen Beruf ihr ergreifen wollt, dann kommt gerne zu den "Mathe-im-Beruf"-Vorträgen vorbei! Obwohl die Vorträge im Rahmen der OE-Wochen organisiert sind, sind sie hochschulöffentlich - d.h. auch ihr seid herzlich willkommen, das gilt explizit auch für alle Mitarbeiter:innen. Hier der Beschreibungstext:
Um einen Einblick zu ermöglichen, welche beruflichen Möglichkeiten es für (Wirtschafts-)Mathematiker:innen gibt, laden wir Berufstätige aus verschiedenen Branchen ein, die euch von ihrem Studienverlauf, Berufsalltag und Zukunftsperspektiven erzählen und anschließend für Fragen zur Verfügung stehen. Außerdem haben wir auch einige Kommilitonen:innen eingeladen, um euch zu zeigen, was man mit Mathe/Wirtschaft schon während des Studiums als Nebenjob machen kann. Das Programm findet ihr unten.
Die Vorträge finden alle im H1 statt.

LaTeX-Einheit
Ebenfalls in den OE-Wochen wird eine LaTeX-Einheit angeboten, in der die Software vorgestellt und Grundlegendes erklärt wird. Falls ihr in eurem Mathematik-Studium noch Schwierigkeiten mit Latex habt, könnt ihr gerne am
Donnerstag 12.10. um 14:15 Uhr im H1
vorbeikommen.

* General assembly
On
Monday, 23th October at 12 o' clock (noo) in the T30
we will be holding our generaly assembly. The student council (FSR) will present our activities of the last semester and the FSR for this winter term will be elected. The T30 is in the "Technikergeschoss" between ground floor and first floor, you sadly can not get there by elevator.
'Math in the Profession' talks (g)
If you don't have any concrete ideas about what career you want to pursue, feel free to come to the "Math in the Profession" talkes! Although the lectures are organized in the context of the OE weeks, they are open to the university public - i.e. you are also welcome.
In order to give you an insight into the career opportunities for (business) mathematicians, we invite professionals from different industries to talk about their studies, their daily work and their future perspectives. We have also invited some fellow students to show you what you can do with math/economics as a part-time job during your studies.
Unfortunaly, the lectures are in German. We have the idea to organize similar lectures during the semester in English. So stay tuned!

Also during the OE (Orientation and Introduction) weeks, a LaTeX unit is offered, in which the software is introduced, and the basics are explained. If you're still having difficulties with LaTeX in your mathematics studies, you're welcome to join us on
