der FSR möchte euch mit dem Newsletter auf dem Laufenden halten. Die wichtigen Punkte sind mit einem * gekennzeichnet.

1. Evaluation*
Wie jedes Semester wird der FSR auch in diesem die Evaluation der Lehrveranstaltungen durchführen. Hier könnt ihr Feedback zu euren Veranstaltungen geben und dazu beitragen, dass die Lehre verbessert wird. Die Evaluation findet
in der Woche vom 5. bis 9. Dezember
statt. Anders als in den letzten Jahren wird die Evaluation in den meisten Veranstaltungen wieder in Präsenz stattfinden, das heißt in dieser Woche werden wir in eure Veranstaltungen kommen und mit euch die Evaluation durchführen. Ihr solltet vorab von euren Lehrenden einen Link zu einem Online-Formular erhalten, in dem ihr dann anonymisiert eure Rückmeldungen abgeben könnt. In der Lehrveranstaltung bekommt ihr dann etwa 15 Minuten Zeit, das Formular auszufüllen. Natürlich könnt ihr die Evaluation auch weiterhin von zu Hause aus ausfüllen.
2. Lerndonnerstage*
Dieses Semester finden wieder
jeden Donnerstag ab 16:00 Uhr
die Lerndonnerstage statt. Der Raum ist abwechselnd der 241 und der 1240, schaut daher immer vorher auf die Tafel im Foyer. Hier könnt ihr euch mit euren Lerngruppen oder alleine hinsetzen, Aufgaben machen und lernen. Dabei sind immer einige vom FSR anwesend, an die ihr euch mit Fragen wenden könnt. Das Angebot richtet sich hauptsächlich an die, die LinA (Lineare Algebra) oder Ana(lysis) machen, aber natürlich könnt ihr euch auch dazusetzen, wenn ihr nicht mehr LinA oder Ana hört, um selbst zu lernen oder Erstis zu helfen.
3. Fahrradtour
Am
Samstag, den 19. November ab 11 Uhr
gibt es eine (entspannte) Fahrradtour. Wir treffen uns vorm Geomatikum und entscheiden gemeinsam eine Tour. Kommt gerne vorbei! 🙂
4. Filmabend
Euer FSR veranstaltet am
Freitag, den 25. November ab 18 Uhr im H2
einen Filmabend. Zu Beginn werden wir gemeinsam entscheiden, welchen Film wir sehen wollen. Bringt dafür gerne euren eigenen Lieblingsfilm auf DVD mit. Der FSR wird auch ein paar Filme bereitstellen.
5. Spieleabend
Euer FSR veranstaltet den ersten Spieleabend des Semesters! Packt eure Freunde und eure liebsten Spiele ein oder freut euch auf die umfangreiche Spielesammlung des FSRs und lasst euren Tag unter Kommiliton*innen ausklingen! Wir treffen uns am

6. Schachturnier
Beim Schachturnier könnt ihr euer Eröffnungs- und Endgamewissen unter Beweis stellen oder einfach ein paar entspannte Matches spielen. Anfänger und erfahrene Spieler sind willkommen, am
Dienstag, den 6. Dezember ab 18 Uhr (s.t.) im Raum 241
mitzumachen. Das Format ist 10+5 und – je nach Teilnehmerzahl – jeder gegen jeden oder Schweizer System. Bitte kommt halbwegs pünktlich. Wir freuen uns auf euch!
7. Weihnachtsfeier
Liebe Studierende, liebe Mitglieder des Fachbereichs Mathematik,
alle Jahre wieder lädt der FSR Mathematik zur Weihnachtsfeier der Mathematiker ein. Am
Freitag, den 09. Dezember 2022
ist es Zeit, sich seine Lieblingstasse zu schnappen. Für reichlich wärmenden Glühwein wird gesorgt sein. Uhrzeit und Raum werden noch bekannt gegeben.

1. Evaluation*
The FSR is organizing the evaluation of your lectures. With your feedback you can help increase the quality of teaching at our university! The evaluation will happen
in the week from December 5th till December 9th.
In contrast to the last few semesters the evaluation will happen in person again: someone from the FSR will be coming to your lectures and guide you through the evaluation. In advance, you should receive a link to an online form from your lecturer where you can give your feedback anonymously. You will have approximately 15 minutes during the lecture to complete this form. Of course you can also complete the form at home.
2. Thursdays of studying
The thursdays of studying (Lerndonnerstage) are happening again this semester
every thursday from 4 pm.
The room it takes place in alternates weekly between the 1240 and the 241, so always check the board in the foyer beforehand. You can come alone or with your study group to do exercises and study. A few people from the student council for Mathematics (FSR) are there to answer your questions. The main target group for this event are those who study Linear Algebra or Analysis, but of course you can still come if you study something more advanced.
3. Bicycle tour
On
Saturday, November 19th from 11:00
we'll do a (relaxed) bike tour. We'll meet in front of the Geomatikum. Which route we'll go on will be decided together. 🙂
Feel free to come along!
4. Movie night
The FSR will be hosting a movie night on
Friday, November 25th at 6 pm in lecture hall H2.
We'll begin by deciding which movie to watch. Feel free to bring along your own favourite movie on DVD. The FSR will also provide a few movies. If the film we decide on watching will be in German, we will turn on English subtitles, so no worries about language barriers!
5. Games night
The FSR is organizing the first games night of the semester. Bring your friends and favourite board and card games and join us on
Wednesday, November 30th from 18:00 in room 241.
We will also provide a lot of games and are looking forward to seeing you!
6. Chess tournament
At the chess tournament, you will be able to show off your opening and endgame skill, or just have some fun matches among your peers. Beginners and seasoned players are welcome to join us on
Tuesday, December 6th from 18:00 in Room 241.
The format will be 10+5 and, depending on participant numbes, either a free for all or swiss bracket. We are looking forward to seeing you!
7. Christmas party
Dear students, dear members of the maths department,
the same procedure as every year: we as the students council gladly invite you to the christmas party of the mathematicians. It will take place on
Friday, December 9th.
Room and time will be announced. There will be warming mulled wine. Please bring your own mug.
